What is Black History Month?
Black History Month (BHM) is a celebration of Black cultural heritage, arts and positive contributions to society, which takes place every October in the UK. To celebrate this event we are offering interactive and fun workshops for schools and community groups. The workshops include
filmmaking, songwriting, drama and discussion to help educate the participants about Black History. Please note BHM is not just aimed at black people; it's a celebration of a culture which has an impact on all areas of our society.
So how does it work?
Our workshops are flexible to the needs of the school/community group. We run everything from 3-hour workshops over a number of weeks, to full day workshops. Depending on the type of workshops, we can provide a fun, one off learning experience for the participants, and as a required extra where music and film is involved, we can provide the organisation with CDs of songs written by your participants and/or a DVD of the work they have produced.
How much does it cost?
Cost is dependent on the length of the workshops and the desired outcomes of the organisation.
Costs start at £200.
